Giving minds think alike.

When it comes supporting breast cancer patients, Ford Warriors in Pink and our charity partners are of one mind: the more good days, the better. Here are some of the ways the following organizations have helped to create good days for those with breast cancer.

  • Many breast cancer patients lose their livelihoods and ability to work during active treatments, posing the risk of significant financial loss. The Pink Fund goes above delivering one more good day – with up to 90 good days of non-medical financial aid. By covering the cost of living expenses, such as health insurance, housing, car payments and utilities, the Pink Fund helps to meet basic needs and decrease stress levels – two important factors in improving the healing and quality of life for breast cancer patients.
  • Many women are diagnosed with breast cancer at a young age. YSC is here to tell them they’re not alone. By providing free resources and programs to support, educate and empower these women, YSC finds ways to deliver more good days on a regular basis. “I found YSC when I was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 28 and it was my absolute lifeline.” - Dr. Corinne Menn, board-certified gynecologist and young breast cancer survivor. YSC also helps young patients and survivors to find – and share – with each other. Through networks such as Face 2 Face and the YSC Tour De Pink ride, a sisterhood of understanding and support is always available to them. Sometimes patients just want to hear from someone who’s been there. And the voice of someone who has walked in the same path is a welcome gift, not to mention a great way to bring about one more good day.
  • Their mission: to eradicate breast cancer once and for all. Their tactics: Revolutionary programs like the Army of Women and the Health of Women (HOW) designed to shift the focus of research beyond finding a cure to identifying causes and ways to prevent breast cancer. These movements empower women to take a stand that will make a difference. By doing so, they deliver hope, inspiration and more good days to everyone touched by the disease.

On top of groundbreaking research initiatives, the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation hosts an entire website filled with helpful information and resources for anyone with questions about breast health. Often, something as simple as a much-needed answer is the most powerful way to give a good day.

  • As the world’s largest breast cancer organization, Susan G. Komen® strives to give more good days to breast cancer patients by funding more breast cancer research than any other nonprofit.

Komen also provides help to those in need with a breast cancer helpline, message boards, assistance programs and more. But one of the most amazing, heartfelt ways the organization touches the lives of those touched by the disease is through Race for the Cure.® Thanks to the largest, most successful fundraising breast cancer event in history, every race day becomes one more good day.
