Net proceeds are the funds obtained after all costs and expenses are deducted from the gross proceeds. For example, if an item is being sold for $12, and it costs us $2 to produce, we donate $10 from the sale of that item. That’s why we show you both the cost of the item and the dollar amount that will be donated from the sale of that item (in parentheses).
